New pattern coming soon !

A little preview...

I still have to find a name for the necklace though.

It's one I did years ago, back when I didn't know about Delicas, or beads losing their color, etc. So it got forgotten in a basket, but it was a nice design so I figured I should make a better quality one.

The pattern is almost done. I'm also working on the pictures. And maybe I'll make another one, just to show other color schemes.

Art Nouveau peacock inspiration

Here is some inspiration for my next piece of jewelry for my silversmithing class. I love Art Nouveau and was in the mood for green/turquoise, so that's what I'm going for.

1. Embroidery pattern
2. Cary Kwok, "Peacock"
3. Another embroidery pattern
4. Architectural detail
5. Paula Bolton earrings
6. Beautiful ring, but who made it ? I can't find it anywhere, if anybody knows, let me know !

8. Apparently this is a belt buckle !

Beadwoven pink crystal earrings

My mother asked me to make some pinks earrings for a friend of hers. I looked through my stash and wasn't satisfied with what I had in pink so it led to a frustrating day shopping for beads in Montreal. I just couldn't find anything satisfying in pink, not even a simple rivoli (I was looking for some Swarovski crystal). I probably would have found something in the wholesale store but I really just wanted a rivoli for the earrings.

In the end I found the navettes in a setting. That was perfect ! They inspired me right away and I had everything else I needed. So here they are. I have to admit I really like them.

Vintage Photo Album For FTB

I was looking for albums online to make a journal as shown in Full Tilt Boogie and finally found one on Ebay. Not that they are hard to find, it's just that there are a lot of people bidding on them. So I bought this one in France (I had somebody coming to visit me from France so it was pretty painless).

It's in really good condition but I what I like most about it is that it is full of pictures. Most don't have dates on them but a few do and the oldest one is from 1862 (who are these people ? What's their story ?). And the backs of the pictures are as interesting as the pictures themselves ! They are all different.

Of course now I'm not so sure I want to take it apart...
